In 2018, the Scottish Government, Scottish Enterprise, Highlands and Islands Enterprise and North announced a pioneering £6m public-private project to create a National IoT Network for Scotland. IoT Scotland was born – with North leading the innovative project to build and operate the UK’s most advanced Internet of Things (IoT) network.

Our breadth and depth of experience, and leading position in integrated wireless technologies have enabled us to roll out the network across Scotland’s towns, cities and rural areas to create the UK’s most advanced network.

With infrastructure in place and connectivity available across XX of Scotland’s Local Authorities, over 30% of businesses and 1.4m people can tap into the use of smart sensor technology applications
